This weekend I began a journey into a deeper layer of bodywork in my advanced Craniosacral training. The work is subtle and yet so very powerful. When we are able to listen and follow what the body wants us to learn so much can open in safe, sacred, healing space. I wonder how can we create this healing space for ourselves? What do we need to remember in order to come back home to our hearts? How can we continue to allow the divine to flow through? I am extremely grateful for the group of willing hearts that provided the supportive space for this sacred journey to emerge. As the practitioner worked on me the words Ghost Wind poured through.
This is an ode to the teachings of Ghost Wind and the power of releasing grief.
Reborn again from the Sun, the life-giving force, your body emerges like a droplet of light itself. You crawl out like a new baby serpent’s body, wet and naked on the earth’s ground. You have fallen from high heaven with a new view. The Old Ghost Wind breathed out of you and a new life come in. Resurrected from the ashes of your grief into a new being, a new body, a new mind. Renewed in the remembrance of Creation itself. Of an eternal fire. ⠀
The process as you know begins with a delicate sigh. Some part of you knows a shift is nearing the horizon of your conscious state and yet, the waves that move this urge from beneath cannot yet be seen. Only with the breath and the gentle act of surrender can we become aware of this opening. It is like we are being acted upon by a force that feels much greater than ourselves and in truth is nothing but ourselves. That part of us wanting Truth, wanting to be home, wanting the wind of life to open our hearts. “Let Go , Let Go , Let Go … Keep Breathing” The shift is there the logical mind turns and momentarily disappears. ⠀
Only a feeling state remains. You are complete sensation in an animal body, rocking in its own pulsatory rhythm. You are a serpent slithering its body wet against the dry warm rock of earth, molting your skin. Simultaneously, you glide overhead as a falcon, over-seeing, watching observing, monitoring, protecting. By the gentle hands that guide you now - all is forgiven. Heaving with tears, expelling the old ghosts this tired body has carried, curling out the sadness, the rage, the grief. Only to arrive in a state pure and unknown. ⠀
You are new. You have arrived. There is peace in your heart. Your body lay in full surrender, a layer shed, many lifetimes gone. Everything white as ash, pale, newborn, quiet and at rest. Your heart - a feather.
